Believers say there is God, but unbelievers say there is no God. Isn’t then the existence of God simply a matter up to man’s belief?
Concerning God, there is the aspect of His objective existence and the aspect of our subjective experience. As far as His objective existence is concerned, His existence is independent of man’s opinion. If you believe in Him, He exists; if you don’t believe in Him, He still exists.
This is just like the sun in the solar system, which exists during both daytime and nighttime. Even if those born blind would say, “I have never seen the sun, so I don’t believe that the sun exists”. The fact is, whether he believes or not, the sun still exists. The God who has created the universe is like this. Neither your believing nor your unbelieving can affect His existence in the least.
But as far as our subjective experience is concerned, we can say that God's existence is up to our believing. Because to believe is to receive, so if you believe in Him, you will receive Him into your being, and you will have God. On the contrary, if you do not believe in Him, you will not receive Him, so He will not be in you, and you will not have God.
According to the Bible, to believe in God is not just to nod your head and to acknowledge His objective existence. To believe is to receive. John 1:12-13 says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
We hope that you will become a person who has God. Let God enter into you, live in you and with you, and you will become a blessed person.
The Bible says that man who has no God has no hope (Eph. 2:12), but those who have God have hope, because this glorious God is the Lord of life, who lives in us and becomes our hope of glory.
May you receive the life of God, the seed of God, to become a child of God, a man who has God
